Chief’s Welcome

On behalf of the Seymour Department of Police and as the temporary key holder for the Department, I feel privileged to welcome all visitors to our website.

As a small Department, our Officers have the opportunity to work all facets of law enforcement, including community policing, traffic assignments, and patrol functions. Community policing initiatives have been our main priority. Another prospect that has been provided to our Officers is their special assignments. These assignments have created curiosity and have produced remarkable results that have enabled our men and women to professionalize our Organization. Our goal is to practice professionalism with transparency at the highest attainable standards of ethics. This has been acknowledged with 100% employee participation of the Department Oath of Honor and an annual review of our Ethics Statement. We also make a profound statement to our community with the Department slogan “Our Priority is the Safety and Security of Our Community”.

Seymour is approximately 15 miles west of Green Bay, Wisconsin and 21 miles northeast of Appleton, WI. Our community has a population of approximately 3,400 and covers 2.5 square miles in area. There are approximately 18.8 miles of streets within the city limits. The City has a small industrial base. Seymour is primarily a residential community that is known for its excellent school district. Please see the City of Seymour web site for more demographics. I would also encourage you to explore the Seymour Community School District’s website.

In closing, I am pleased to have your attendance on our website.  Please contact us if you have any questions that cannot be answered on the web site. We will make every effort to respond to your emails in a judicious manner. For questions that require a more prompt response, please call (920) 833-2366. The men and women of the City of Seymour Department of Police look forward to the challenges that our profession brings. We are pleased to serve and protect the members and visitors of our community with pride and professionalism.
