500 Block Fulton Street Animal Complaint Thursday, August 29, 2013

On August 29, 2013 A Seymour Officer responded to the 500 block of Fulton Street at approximately 1350 hours.  The Officer made contact with the complainant that recovered and was holding a black and tan colored dachshund/terrier mix dog, and the dog appeared friendly.  The complainant stated that she does not know who the dog belonged to.  The responding Officer noticed the dog wore a light green collar with several rhinestones attached to the collar but there were no tags to identify the owner or confirm the dog had its rabies vaccinations.

The dog was transported to City Hall for a 48 hours hold to provide service to the owners of the animal.  The dog bit the Officer twice causing injuries to the Officers hand.  The Officer now has to succumb to a series of rabies vaccinations.

If you have any information regarding the ownership of this dog please call the Seymour Police Department immediately at (920) 833-2366.  If this dog has been vaccinated the Officer will not have to continue with the Rabies Vaccinations.
